A comprehensive new sustainability program from French ingredients giant Naturex plans to cover every aspect of its activities, says the firm.
The natural ingredients specialists has launched the new sustainability program that it says will redefine and expand its current sustainability practices.
In addition to strengthening existing sustainability efforts, Naturex said that the new program will expand the scope of these activities, in addition to setting up a new sustainability that aims to 'continuously' plan and update sustainable actions for the future.
“Sustainable practices are not optional for our industry," said Serge Sabrier, chairman of the sustainability committee. "Naturex is very well-positioned to drive improvements in ethical and responsible business practices across the entire value chain."
"It is both an opportunity and a responsibility for us to enhance our commitments in this field," said Sabrier.
As part of the new measures, the company has also appointed 'medicine hunter' Chris Kilham as 'sustainability ambassador.'
Kilham regularly journeys to the world’s most remote locations, seeking new botanicals.
"With his well-established reputation for respecting and honoring the environment and traditional cultures, Chris is a strong voice for the Naturex program," the firm said.
