The firm has been busy in recent months extending the role of CardiaBeat, and has started several collaborations with different companies in Europe, India, Australia, South Korea and the US.
The new supplement - BioCardio - is intended for healthcare practitioners targeting cardiovascular health, the firm said.
Marketing manager Michal Haim-Bravman said the UK market is important to further expansion as it is one of the biggest markets in Europe.
CardiaBeat is billed by the company as being able to deliver conjugated plant sterols to omega-3 fatty acids.
The ingredient is an extension of Enzymotec's functional oil formulation MultOil. This has been shown to potentially reduce the risk for coronary heart disease through preventing and controlling oxidative stress, reducing total cholesterol and triglyceride levels and inhibiting the atherosclerotic plaque formation cascade.
Enzymotec said this means it tackles more heart health indicators than many ingredients on the market, which look only after cholesterol management.
Haim-Bravman said: "The UK dietary supplement market is a strategic market for us, it is one of three largest markets in Europe with estimated sales of more than $1.5bn.
"Omega-3 based products are very popular in this market. Furthermore, the increase in the occurrence of obesity, heart disease, and other CVD risk factor prevalence are important triggers for launch of this product. "
BioCare, based in the UK, said that one in five deaths in men and one in six in women in the country is caused by cardiovascular disease.
Expansion
Indeed, Enyzmotec has been busy expanding. It has already boost its brain health nutrient phosphatidylserine (PS) by producing a 99 per cent pure form
The high PS will be available globally and forms part of its Sharp PS line of products. The high level will mean more ingredients can be added to a supplement capsule.
Enzymotec this summer announced it will build a new 200,000 sq foot research and development centre to meet "growing demand" for its products.
In August Enzymotec said this new R&D centre will be up and running by the end of the year.
