India-based Tata Tea says that it is looking to develop a common brand identity for its core flagship beverage products, which include bottled water, as part of a wider shake up of its operations, suggest press reports.

The group, which is thought to be the second largest supplier of branded tea in the world with names like Tetley, reportedly hopes to improve profitability of its various subsidiary operations by positioning itself as a major beverage firm.

A particular focus on the environment and health is to be targeted through the re-branding, according to India-based newspaper, the Telegraph Calcutta.
