What about Sacha Inchi?
It is remarkable strange that sacha inchi (plukenetia volubilis linneo) has not been considered in this story. Its high content of unsaturated oils omega 3, 6 and 9, makes it one of the wonders of peruvian biodiversity.

Where's the Hemp??
Hello, I am the President of Hemp Oil Canada Inc. and I have been a long time subscriber to your news posts. Once again you have posted a story on Omega 3 sources and have omitted to list hemp seed and oil products. Hemp seed oil is plant based and one of nature's most highly unsaturated oils with the higest content of polyunstaurated oil at over 80%. Hemp seed oil contains 18% Omega 3, 51% Omega 6, 3.6% GLA and over 1% SDA.
Hemp seed oil has a nice light nutty flavor and is very easily incorporated in one's diet as a salad dressing, or used in sauces, dips, marinades or drizzled over vegatables, potatoes or pasta. Since it's re-introduction in North America back in the late 90's hemp seed oil is available in any vitamin supplement, natural product or health food store.
You can also find hemp seed oil, hulled hemp seed and hemp protein powders in a number of mainstream grocery store chains. It is available as both conventional and Certified Organic product.
I hope you will consider the nutritous and health benefits of consuming hemp food products and ingredients in your future stories.
