The French government has named Marc Mortureux as the new director of the food safety agency Affsa, filling a gap left by the departure of his predecessor to the ministry for food, agriculture and fisheries.
Mortureux brings a wealth of experience from the private and public sectors, including a spell as director general at the Institute Pasteur and director of Airparif.
Former head of Affsa Pascale Briand has taken up the reins as director general for food at the ministry for food, agriculture and fisheries.
