The decision represents the third time CAFIA has acted against a Chinese food supplement for enhancing potency found to contain a banned substance.
The Czech authorities identified the substance as noracetildenafil, which is not allowed in food supplements. The compound has a chemical structure similar to Viagra (sildenafil), but does not have the scientific data to support its safety.
Five thousand packages of the product, predominantly sold over the internet, was imported by the company Zdravy zivotni styl Ltd.
