Swiss-based biotech Evolva has agreed new two-year distribution deals with Breko and Natural for its Veri-te brand of resveratrol, the firm said.

The deals will see Evolva’s Veri-te resveratrol brand – launched in February this year – distributed in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with Breko and in France with Natural.

Evolva said the deals are ‘already bearing fruit’ with a number of existing customers already switching from existing products to Veri-te, and others looking to develop new products with the branded resveratrol ingredient in growing consumer markets like eye health, bone health and beauty from within.

“Veri-te Resveratrol fits perfectly in our product range of polyphenol based ingredients from grapes, olives and berries,” said Breko VP Wolfgang Loersch – who added that the deal is ‘a great match’.

“We are delighted to offer Veri-te to our customers and also to develop formulated products with this promising ingredient,” he added – noting that Breko will present soft gums containing Veri-te resveratrol at Vitafoods next week.

Evolva said the deal with Natural (France) will provide access to the French dietary supplement market, which is becoming more concerned about the presence of contaminants, such as PAHs, that are found in some sources of resveratrol.

“We believe Natural will be a great partner for Evolva and our 98% pure, PAH-free fermented resveratrol in the French market,” said Evolva in a press release.
