Arty Artichoke Water
Deserves its billing in the introduction for its novelty value alone, but the rise of such products is no surprise, as is presaged in this article from industry veteran Julian Mellentin, who sees significant value in plant-based waters – namely a $2.5bn market by 2025.
California-based Arty Artichoke Water claims to be the ‘world’s first premium artichoke beverage’, and is a light RTD based on artichokes but flavored with lemon, mint and monk fruit. A patent-pending process is used that the brand says retains the nutrients naturally present in artichokes.
Despite appearing at Healthy Beverage Expo, the water was actually launched at Natural Products Expo (Expo West) in California this March.
