The projections are somewhat pessimistic

This article contains interesting figures and good pieces of advice. There are definitely several approaches that can be taken to redress the curve as mentioned herein. Therefore, I consider that the projections presented are rather pessimistic. In my opinion, that would be the panorama if companies do nothing, but I think that is unlikely to happen. I present some additional alternatives and warnings in an article I wrote for Probiotic Intelligentsia (http://www.idpf-idap.com/En-articles-1-2-2012.html ). The present crisis is a good opportunity for industries to take a look at advantageous strategies.
