BioReal (Sweden) AB cultivates the unicellular alga Haematococcus pluvialis indoors under fully controlled conditions to produce the highest and purest form of natural astaxanthin, AstaREAL® . • AstaREAL® A1010 with min 5 % astaxanthin content is a dry and red powder for use in food supplements and certain food applications. AstaREAL® A1010 consists of homogenised and dried biomass.

• AstaREAL® L10 is an oleoresin containing min 10% astaxanthin. AstaREAL® L10 is produced by supercritical extraction of the algal biomass.

• AstaREAL® P2AF contains 1.8% astaxanthin and Encapsulated AstaREAL® L10 with 2.5% astaxanthin are both powders based on AstaREAL L10. They are water dispersible powder formulations for use in food and cosmetic applications.
