Purextract is the plant extraction division of DRT, a French-based company specialized in natural ingredients.
For over 40 years, Purextract has offered the market its unique expertise in the extraction and purification of pine bark, grape seeds and since recently, olive tree leaves. Health, beauty, well-being, nutrition… Purextract’s natural extracts are used by major actors of the food supplements, cosmetics and agribusiness markets. With a high level of quality and purity, Purextract’s polyphenols and phytosterols contribute to the effectiveness of many end products.
Its product line Pur’expert, dedicated to health and well-being, offers highly purified extracts for ever more demanding formulations such as for cardio-vascular prevention and protection. The EFSA agency delivered a positive scientific opinion on the efficacy of Purextract olive-based polyphenols, Effialine, for their health benefits in preventing LDL oxidation. Purextract’s phytosterols, Phytopin, have also received an EFSA health claim allegation for their contribution to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
Two other product lines have been developed for the nutricosmetics and dermo-cosmetics industries.
