Capsugel extends vegetable capsule line
filled vegetable capsules to include a lecithin filled capsule.
US capsule manufacturer, Capsugel, has extended its line of liquid filled vegetable capsules to include a lecithin filled capsule, the company announced this week. The liquid lecithin filled Vcaps™ are derived from vegetable extracts and contain non-GMO, USP grade lecithin. Kosher certified and approved by the Vegetarian Society, Vcaps™ liquid capsules can be consumed by vegetarians and individuals with specific cultural or dietary preferences. The recently developed capsules have a transparent casing for product visibility. Vcaps™ are already available throughout Europe filled with a choice of natural or synthetic Vitamin E in liquid form. The capsules are sealed using Capsugel's LEMS (Liquid Encapsulation Microspray Sealing) technology. Developed by in-house specialists, this advanced technology eliminates the need for banding capsules. Capsugel's technical experts will test formulations for compatibility with Vcaps™ and run filling trials on the LEMS machine.
