Cargill food ingredients business restructures
Nutraceuticals will now be known as Cargill Health and Food
Technologies.
Cargill announced this month that its business unit Cargill Nutraceuticals will now be known as Cargill Health and Food Technologies. The decision comes after the joining and expansion of the nutraceuticals and the specialty food ingredients business units. "The synergy of these two units increases Cargill's capabilities in serving the functional food, traditional food and dietary supplement industries globally," said Ted Ziemann, president of the Health and Food Technologies Unit. "The formation of Cargill Health and Food Technologies represents our commitment to what we foresee as an aggressive growth category." The Health and Food Technologies team combines a range of market and technology professionals in the areas of sales, marketing, business development, consumer research, regulatory and clinical expertise, applications development, and process engineering from the consumer food, nutrition and food ingredients industry. Cargill Health and Food Technologies is a developes and markets health-promoting ingredients for food and dietary supplements industries worldwide. Its commercial product categories include the AdvantaSoy™ line of soy isoflavones, the CS/90+™ brand of chondroitin sulfate, phytosterol esters, vitamin E, and trehalose.
