The science behind natural treatments for menopause symptoms is inconclusive but an upcoming conference reveals the wide variety of ingredients with potential in this market.
The French Antioxidant Society (La Societe Francaise des Antioxydants) meeting in September will cover the better known treatments such as soy and red clover, but also reveals the beneficial properties of sage, hops and cinnamon among others.
The two-day conference will gather scientists from companies including Cognis and Berkem, as well as those based at INRA, and universities throughout France. Updates on the state of the market and opportunities for growth are also covered, in addition to sessions on legislation and the role of the media.
