Omega-3 fatty acids from fish, krill, green-lipped mussels, and increasingly algae, have been earmarked by some researchers for their possible anti-inflammatory benefits – but this is yet to be backed by regulators.
This week, Adam Ismail, the executive director of the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s, said progress for the fatty acid within the bone and joint segment had been waylaid by a lack of convincing human data.
