What do YOU think about EFSA’s health claim guidance?

Interested parties have until 12 September 2016 to submit comments on the draft document.
The draft updates the guidance from an original published in 2007 and an initial update in 2011 and follows a ‘general’ guidance update in January.
EFSA said since 2011 its Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies (NDA Panel) has gained “considerable experience in the evaluation of claims” and the updates were based on this as well as feedback from stakeholders.
The guidance aims to offer advice on what is needed in applications, and sets a common format for dossiers.
“The changes aim to increase the efficiency and consistency of the application process,” EFSA said in its public consultation call.
