European potential prompts AlaskOmega to open Swiss subsidiary

AlaskOmega has opened a Swiss subsidiary to directly service ‘a growing customer base’ for its MSC certified range of bulk and packaged products in Europe, says the firm.

Organic Technologies, the company behind AlaskOmega omega-3 and omega-7 concentrates, set up the new company known as AlaskOmega AG to directly service a growing European customer base.

Located in Cham, Switzerland, the new subsidiary will serve European food and nutrition businesses looking for MSC-certified bulk finished goods and packaged products – as well as AlaskOmega’s full range of bulk fish oils, omega-3 and omega-7 concentrates, the company said in a statement.

“Our customers benefit from our established network of manufacturing partners to ensure 100% certified traceability and maximum supply chain flexibility to help reduce the complexity of a customer’s product supply,”​ commented Martin Mueller, managing director of AlaskOmega AG. 

“By offering a full suite of services and products, we can accelerate a customer’s time to market with new products, guaranteeing consistent, high quality product delivery by using only MSC-certified AlaskOmega Ingredients for formulation/reformulation projects.”

The company said it will building on its established network of trusted and certified manufacturing partners, to offer ‘a fully turn-key solution’.

AlaskOmega said it will be promoting its MSC-certified AlaskOmega omega-3 and omega-7 concentrates and custom bulk/packaged finished product offering at the upcoming Vitafoods Europe show.
