Clasado names former Optibiotix commercial director as CEO

Bimuno brand owner Clasado has appointed Per Rehné, former commercial director of Optibiotix as CEO as the firms looks to sharpen its strategy in the microbiome space.

Rehné brings more than 20 years’ experience in the health and nutrition sector with a myriad of companies including Danisco, Frutarom, Cornelius and Optibiotix – where he remains a non-executive director of the ProBiotix Health Division.

Biotechnology specialist Clasado has been developing microbiome products aimed at consumers gastrointestinal wellness for the food and healthcare sectors, including the well known prebiotic brand Bimuno.

“I’m pleased to be joining Clasado at a key time in the company’s history,”​ commented Rehné.

Moncef Slaoui, chairman of Clasado added that Rehné will be responsible for shaping the Clasado business as it moves forward.

“Per has an enviable track record in delivering strategic growth and we are delighted he agreed to head up our team,”​ he said. “We are excited about the potential he sees for our products and innovation pipeline.”
