University Research of the Year : Lycored and IUF, Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine
Breakthrough research funded by Lycored and conducted by Dr. Jean Krutmann and his team at IUF – Leibniz Research Institute, Düsseldorf, Germany show how lycopene rich tomato nutrient complex and lutein can help protect skin against UV rays and photo aging on the molecular level. The results of the study indicate that both antioxidants can help prevent sun damage and even slow skin’s aging process.
