Five-flavour berry (Schisandra chinensis) from Singapore triggered a seven-EU country investigation after the Dutch authorities found 0.5 mg/kg - ppm of mercury.
The product was withdrawn from the market.

Native to Northern China and Far East Russia, the plant is traditionally used in Chinese medicine for various remedies to do with the heart, lung and kidneys.
