Optibac Probiotics launches vegan gummies for adults
Adult Gummies is a mixed berry all-in-one supplement which contains probiotic strain Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2, as well as daily doses of vitamin D, zinc and calcium.
The new launch follows that of Kids Gummies in Spring 2021, which the company says prompted calls from customers wanting a ‘grown-up’ version for themselves.

Adult Gummies provide a mix of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, and cost €15.56 (£12.99) for a pack of 30. They are suitable for vegans and contains no added sugars or sweeteners.
Optibac Probiotics are available at independent pharmacies and health food stores, Superdrug, Boots and supermarkets in the UK and Ireland, as well as in various export markets globally, on the company website and on Amazon.
In addition, the gummies are available in plastic-free packaging, which consists of a home compostable pouch made from plant fibres and a fully recyclable FSC-certified carton.
Growing in popularity
Between October 2020 to October 2021, gummies made up 7.4% of all new supplement product launches, according to market research.
Vegan gummies in particular have become popular among those seeking to ensure they get sufficient essential vitamins from plant-based diets. In December 2021, UK-based multivitamin and supplement gummy Vegums announced its expansion into the US.
