Glanbia guns for sports and infant nutrition market
Chief operating officer at Glanbia Nutritionals Dr Raimund Hoenes sat down with Shane Starling at Vitafoods in Geneva and shared insights into some of the challenges the sub-division of the Irish dairy giant has faced since its inception two years ago with a brief to develop an infant and sports nutrition ingredients portfolio.

Glanbia Nutritionals specialises in bespoke premix solutions that draw from its parent’s dairy proteins core business as well as more recently acquired vitamins and minerals operations.

The company has established a base in China to allow it to better service its international client base.

German-based Hoenes discusses some of the challenges faced in the sports nutrition market and explains why Glanbia has invested in quality ingredients and why customers are willing to pay for them.
