NutraWomen Wednesday: Stephanie Guillén, Global Sales Director of SuanNutra

Raised in an entrepreneurial environment, Stephanie Guillén, Global Sales Director of SuanNutra, was encouraged by her family to pursue her education in order to be independent.

Guillén grew up in Venezuela and later moved to Canada, but these days she calls Spain home. 

Her training as an industrial engineer, upbringing and international experience have led her to be the sales and business development maven she is today.

With over 15 years in the nutraceuticals industry, Guillén has seen trends come and go. Currently, she says a revolution is underway, with women becoming more conscious as supplement buyers for their families as well as by dedicating attention, time and money to their own wellbeing. 

“For women, it's very common that you put your family first, however, this is something that is changing. If you imagine when you are on an airplane and normally, when you are receiving instructions about how to put your mask on, you have to be in a very good situation first, you have to be fine first in order to help others. So it's very, very important that we take care of ourselves, not only physically, [but] mentally—especially mental health,” said Guillén.

Earlier this year, Guillén said she was excited to join Women in Nutraceuticals. 

“It's very important for me to connect. Even when you are doing business, everything is about people. Everything is about connections. And everything is about inspiring others and I think it's a very good opportunity in which women are connecting, sharing experiences, sharing cases of success, but also fails, from which we can learn from for sure.”
