Canadian scientists have found that the antioxidant power of garlic is related to the organic compound allicin, research that deepens our understanding of the potential benefits of this food and supplements favourite.
The Belgian Medicines Agency (AFMPS) has published further detail
of draft amendments to a Royal Decree that may switch the
classification of 250 herbal products from food and food supplement
ingredients to medicines.
UK firm Allimax, which has developed a patented form of the garlic
antioxidant compound allicin, will use ongoing research to help it
move out of the crowded garlic supplements segment into a new,
higher value 'anti-microbials'...
