Aker BioMarine has set out its sustainability goals for the decade in which it aims to reduce CO2 emissions per ton krill produced by 50% by 2030 and reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Norwegian krill processor Rimfrost is to award a €100m (NOK 1bn) contract to Westcon to build a new krill fishing vessel that enables the production of food supplements at sea immediately after catching.
