Alimentary Health’s product Alflorex won the Irish Pharmacy Product of the year for 2015 after only 12 months in the market.
It also was awarded the inaugural US-Ireland Research Innovation gong for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) working with US multinationals.
Alimentary previously worked with Procter & Gamble to launch a US-Canadian version of Alflorex called Align. In that deal the Irish firm licenses its patented strain, B. infantis 35624 to P&G.
CEO Barry Kiely told us Alflorex was being launched in other European countries this year.
