Garyth Stone, Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey, will provide his perspective on how the industry is evolving including how he defines the market, who is winning, who is losing, the impact of direct-to-consumer ecommerce and acute impact of COVID.

Dr Mariette Abrahams, CEO & Founder at Qina, will then present on the opportunities for innovation in the world of personalised nutrition for active consumers.

Robert Walker, Head of Business Development and Growth at Aminolabs Group, Jason Rickaby, Co-Founder of HMN24, Emma Gardner, Lead Performance Nutritionist for English Institute of Sport, England Men's Cricket and Great Britain Women's Hockey, and Prof. James Morton, Director of Performance Solutions at Science in Sport will also join day one's events.

Three startup founders with a history in professional sports will offer their insights: Thomas Robson-Kanu, from The Turmeric Co., David Dunne from Hexus Performance and Dominic Day, from FourFive.

The event's key host Nick Morgan says: “I think it is quite a defining moment for sports nutrition. It feels there is a positive outlook post COVID as consumers are looking to be proactive towards exercise and nutrition.

"However, whilst there is obvious reward there is arguably never been more risk with brands struggling to navigate the extent of their permission in addition to industry challenges like whey protein prices, containers costs and others.

"And it is these real applied topics that we want to get stuck into in addition to broader discussions on key trends and opportunities in innovation. It is going to be an exciting event”.

In addition to the live shows, those registered for this year’s SANSE will also be able to download on-demand content.

The opportunities for networking will be plenty, with a one-to-one booking system which will allow you to schedule meetings with other attendees before, during and after the three-day event.
