Italy rejected a liquid food supplement from France because it contained too much saccharin, the sweetener E 954.

The product contained 143 mg per litre. The acceptable daily intake (ADI) in Europe for saccharin and its sodium, calcium and potassium salts is 5 mg/kg for adults.

The product was relabelled, according the RASFF notification.
