Nuritas: The AI search for new compounds
The Dublin-based firm Nuritas has attracted considerable buzz for its peptide-finding platform since it was founded in 2012.
Last year it secured $3.24m (€2.95m) in funding from Singapore-based New Protein Capital (NPC) and Silicon Valley investor Ali Partovi, who has invested in the likes of Dropbox and Facebook in the past.
Pacer said the company stood out from the nutrition crowd because of its use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data and DNA analysis.
The company claims its algorithm-based method of scanning databases could unlock currently wasted sources ten times quicker than the typical trial-and-error search process and cut costs for industry as a result.
