“MBP” is a bioactive milk-derived ingredient that has been clinically shown to support bone health in postmenopausal women. In a clinical study, healthy postmenopausal women who consumed 40 mg of “MBP” daily for six months experienced significant increases in bone mineral density in the lumbar spine. “MBP” intake was also associated with reduced urinary NTx, a marker of bone resorption, suggesting its potential to help slow bone loss. These benefits were observed independently of calcium and vitamin D intake, indicating a unique mechanism of action.
This white paper explores osteoporosis, bone metabolism, the clinical evidence behind “MBP”, and its opportunities in the growing bone health market.
