Bjørn Refsum, chief executive officer at leading omega-3 supplier EPAX talks to Shane Starling about the benefits vertical integration has brought to the Norwegian supplier.

Refsum outlined how total supply control allows the company to deliver on its quality control promise and acts as a means of differentiation in an increasingly cluttered market.

He emphasised the company’s commitment to the sustainable Latin American fisheries from which the company sources its omega-3 ingredients and noted the impact of the economic recession on the omega-3 industry.
