Nestlé Health Science, the division the food giant created in September last year to research and develop medical and functional foods, has bought UK medical foods start-up CM&D Pharma Limited, with more acquisitions – both small and large – set to follow.
Collaboration with the wider scientific community on R&D projects is an essential component of project work at a new Switzerland based breakfast cereal development centre, said Nestlé.
Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), an alliance of Nestlé and General Mills, said that a large percentage of its cereal brands sold in Australia including Cheerios have been endorsed by the Heart Foundation there through its Tick programme.
