‘We have to look to different sources’ says GOED chief as omega-3 sectors unite

The plant (ALA) and marine (DHA and EPA) sectors have not always agreed about omega-3 bioavailability and sustainability, but they recently came together against the negative health effects of omega-6 over-consumption.

That consensus is discussed here, along with sustainability, an argument the ALA camp would appear more likely to win, given the admissions made here by Baldur Hjaltsun, chairman of Global Organization for EPA and DHSA Omega-3s (GOED) and strategic business development manager at Norwegian supplier, EPAX.
