Aenova boosts effervescent tablet capacity to 500m
The Aenova Group is switching production of effervescent tablets used for food supplements and pharmaceuticals from Switzerland to Germany to boost annual production potential to 500m.
A new plant in Bad Aibling in Bavaria, southern Germany, will be the new base, with production stopping at its former Bioggio, Switzerland, facility.
“The plant in Bad Aibling is already established as a centre of expertise for packaging and is now well prepared for the expansion to accommodate the manufacture of effervescent products in May next year,” Aenova said.
“Two fully GMP-compliant production lines are being commissioned to produce dietary supplements and medicines. There is also an extensive expansion area available for further growth.”
