EFSA backs glucose to benefit “energy-yielding metabolism”
German supplements and sports nutrition firm, Dextro Energy GmbH & Co. KG, has won an article 13.5 emerging and proprietary science claim linking glucose and energy.
EFSA’s Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies (NDA) referenced an earlier article 13 general function opinion for “energy-yielding metabolism”, although Dextro requested the claim that glucose, “supports normal physical activity”.
