UnTapped: Pure Maple Syrup
ProTour cyclist Ted King and four ski-enthusiast cousins from the Cochran family are behind this concept to make maple syrup sporty.
Their Indiegogo page plugs their use of portable gel-packs to deliver the low glycaemic-index sports fuel, ditching the traditional glass and tin packaging that kept maple syrup off the slopes and tracks and pitches...
They have raised $50,334 (€46,771) in donations from 799 people in two months, topping their initial $35,000 (€32,781) target.
Donation packages ranged from contributions of $50 (€46) in exchange for ten UnTapped packets and a Camelbak water bottle up to a $5,000 contribution for 700 UnTapped Energy Packets and a host of other perks including a two-night stay at a bed and breakfast and a cycle ride with co-founder King.
