PMS Bites
Tania Green created PMS Bites as a snack for “comfort without guilt” for women suffering from pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS).
The truffle-like bites contained dates, cocoa powder and oats as well as botanicals dandelion root, Siberian ginseng and chamomile, which she said had been linked to various related health benefits like anti-bloating.
The US project received $84,391 65 (€78,974 03) from backers on Kickstarter, 169% over the funding goal. Packages included $5 (€4) donation in exchange for thanks from the founder on the site and Twitter up to $1,000 (€935) donations in exchange for a day with the founder and a 12 month subscription meaning six bites per month delivered during the individual’s PMS week.
