Our opening talk for the event will come from Luca Bucchini, managing director of Hylobates Consulting and vice-chair at the European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance (ESSNA) who will present ESSNA’s action plan on consumer engagement and trust in the sports nutrition market – including its action plan to eliminate non-compliant products from the market and improve consumer engagement and education on sports nutrition products.

The final session of the conference will pull together a group of industry experts for a forum discussion looking at innovation in the sports nutrition sector, and how the mainstreaming of sports nutrition into ‘active nutrition’ is impacting innovation and development.

Moderated by NutraIngredients senior editor Nathan Gray, the panel will discuss how the global trend for protein, the demonisation of sugar and carbohydrates, and the growing importance of newer ingredients like omega-3s and curcumin to the category impact innovation.
