NutraIngredients' groundbreaking online immunity series continues next month with the role botanicals play firmly under the spotlight and scrutiny of the brand’s European team.

Going live on 2 June at 15:00 British Standard Time (BST) / 16:00 Central European Time (CET) the webinar is just under a week away - but there is still plenty of time to register for free!

The webinar looks to discuss the science behind elements of immune system support that botanicals may offer that include new delivery formats and effects on improving wellbeing and mood.

The panel will also discuss aspects of immune support in select populations such as the elderly, pregnant and those with long-term health conditions, as they look to plants bestowed with functional ingredients, which may provide protection against various health disorders.

The webinar’s main sponsors Naturex and Iprona are two companies very much in the botanicals space and will look to contribute key industry insights as well as personal experiences during the event.

Keynote presentations are expected to feature from:

  • Timothee Olagne, Global Category Director, Nutritional Ingredients, Naturex, part of Givaudan
  • Leslie Lannebere, Global Marketing Manager, Nutritional & Functional Ingredients Naturex, part of Givaudan
  • Stephan Plattner, Business Development Manager at the Business Unit Extracts, Iprona

They will also be joined for a panel discussion by:

  • Neil Levin, Senior Nutrition Education Manager at NOW (USA)
  • Miguel Toribio-Mateas, Director of Nutrition and Health Research, Atlas Biomed Group

The event will be hosted by Will Chu, science and technology editor of NutraIngredients, who comments, “Immunity has always been a topic of extreme interest amongst our readers and this webinar now introduces botanicals into the mix as a reliable source of information from the experts.

“At no time has immunity been on consumer minds more so than the present and this webinar looks to bring together producers, manufacturers and retailers in the botanical space to share and interact in the best way we can.

“The aim of this NutraIngredeints’ webinar is to add value, understanding and insight for our audience, who are now looking towards botanical ingredients as a way of supporting the immune system.”

This webinar forms part of a 12-strong series that looks at immunity in relation to four key themes: The Microbiome, Active Nutrition, Clinical Research and Botanicals.
