This year’s Sports and Active Nutrition Digital Summit Europe may be a couple of months away but its never too late to start thinking about what sessions to attend and panel discussions to take part in.

Don’t know whose been confirmed? Then you’re in for a treat as this year, NutraIngredients has gone all out to bring you the very best insights from sports and active nutrition pioneers and trend setters.

Day one hits the ground running with Garyth Stone, Managing Director of Houlihan Lokey, who gives us his take on how the industry is evolving who is winning, who is losing, the impact of direct-to-consumer ecommerce and acute impact of COVID.

Garyth will also provide us with his view on the ones (brands) to watch and what the biggest trends he believes will shape the industry in 2022 and beyond.

Heading up the Consumer, Food & Retail Group of industry advisors Houlihan Lokey, Garyth’s insights and analysis stem from a deep knowledge of the nutrition industry, where his expertise encompasses M&A to consumer product development.

Not enough to whet your appetite? Then how about day two, where NutraIngredients is delighted to welcome Asker Jeukendrup, Performance Consultant, Professor, Nutritionist and Founder of consulting business My Sports Science.

What Jeukendrup doesn’t know about the gut’s influence on sporting performance is not worth considering as this year, he is down to take part in a presentation and panel discussion discussing this health attribute as a central governor of sporting performance.

Jeukendrup brings to the table over 30 years of experience in sports nutrition as a researcher, educator, practitioner, consultant and athlete with industry experience in the bag as co-founder and CEO of CORE Nutrition Planning and co-founder of sports nutrition firm NEVERSECOND.

New for 2021

This year, we’ve taken on board your suggestions following the success of our online series last year, where the virtual environment was ripe for innovation and even more interaction.

Along with content-rich presentations, interviews and panel discussions involving key thought leaders, the Summit, due to take place on 12, 13 and 14 October, now allows delegates to choose the sessions they wish to attend as well as take part in 1to1 networking, sponsor hubs, live polls and Q&A sessions.

The Sports and Active Nutrition Digital Summit Europe aims to finish on a high as the session’s panel discussion welcomes input from a number of professional sportspeople including Hal Robson-Kanu, ex-premier league footballer for West Bromwich Albion and the Wales national team.

Now better known as the founder of The Turmeric Co, Robson-Kanu joins the panel as they look to discuss life beyond protein and towards ingredients such as curcumin, botanicals and CBD.

Chaired by Sports Integrated’s Nick Morgan, the discussion homes in on the panel’s shared backgrounds both as elite athletes and now as brand founders.

With ex-professional rugby player and now founder of fourfivecbd Dominic Day joining the discussion, the debate extends to how recovery is not just post exercise - it is 24/7 - and how consumers currently engage with the concept of recovery and their products.

Register now!

In addition to the live shows, those registered will also be able to download on-demand content. The opportunities for networking will be plenty, with a one-to-one booking system which will allow you to schedule meetings with other attendees before, during and after the three day event.

This year’s event caters to both industry and academia with an industry ticket costing €299.00. Register before 31 August to take advantage of our 25% early bird saving (that's a €75 saving). Enter code 'SNSEARLY21' at the checkout.

An academic ticket costs €149 with an early bird price of €119.20 available to those registering before 31 August 2021.

The stage is set for big industry names to fill the (virtual) room, and top-level speakers on the stage. But don’t take our word for it! Take a sneaky peak at the agenda for the summit and then register!

With a few weeks to go until the main event kicks off, can you really afford to miss out?
