Alibaba’s Zarina Kanji on what we can learn from young Chinese consumers

The Head of Health and Wellness Business Development at the Alibaba Group, recently presented on The digital enigma of China at the Sports and Active Nutrition Summit held in Amsterdam.

Zarina Kanji leads Tmall Global Business Development, which mostly consists of helping brands enter the Chinese market and build their business by connecting them to active consumers. There are over 1.3 billion global annual active consumers across the Alibaba ecosystem, including more than 1 billion in China. 

Kanji, who referred to China as ‘The leader of the digital revolution,’ said the rest of the world should keep an eye on the Celestial Empire. "What I find so fascinating about the Chinese consumer is how curious they are. They definitely do their research, they'll make a purchase and try a product, and they are constantly looking for more new, novel, and exciting products from around the world."
