The program for IPC is organized by a scientific committee of over 20 experts in probiotics, prebiotics, microbiome and microbiology from across the globe.
Between 2019 and 2025, the IPC Scientific Committee has reviewed 850 abstracts, encompassing 200+ universities, 60+ research institutes, 50+ ingredient suppliers and 30+ microbiome and biotech service providers.
At IPC, delegates gain insights into the latest research and developments across probiotics, prebiotics, microbiome modulators, pharmabiotics, live biotherapeutic products, postbiotics and phages. The program is designed to foster evidence-based discussion, covering health benefits, clinical findings, regulatory updates and innovative applications that are shaping the future of gut and overall health.
The most recent IPC conference took place in Athens in June 2025, welcoming experts from around the world to exchange ideas, debate new evidence and present novel approaches. Building on that success, IPC 2026 will continue this tradition of scientific excellence, offering a unique face to face platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking across academia, clinical research and industry.
IPC 2026 will take place at the Park Inn by Radisson, Kraków.

IPC
Founded in 2000 by Alojz Bomba, chief science officer at iProbio in Slovakia, IPC is a key meeting for academia and industry to share advances and insights into microbiome science. In recent years, the event has been led by Alojz’s son, Norbert Bomba, supported by Martin Haranta, CEO of iProbio, and Peter Kürti, member of IPC’s scientific committee.
The event was acquired by William Reed, publishers of NutraIngredients and organizer of the Probiota series of conferences, in 2025.
