The Nutrition Research Project rewards those research projects—academic, commercial or collaborative—that demonstrate scientific excellence, real-world relevance and push the boundaries of nutritional science.
The Start-up Award celebrates the best new companies blazing the trail in the nutrition and health market. From university spin-outs and one-person outfits making a big impact to incubators and fast-growing new companies about to make it big, this award rewards new ideas, the potential for change and commercial success in companies established in the United States of Canada in the past 10 years.
Previous winners of the Start-up Award include Tiny Health, Nimble Science, Radicle Science, Chinova Bioworks, Brightseed, Comet Bio, Plasma Nutrition and Prenexus Health.
Entries for the awards are welcome across 16 categories, and the closing date submissions is Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11.55 pm CT.
Finalists and winners will be honored at a celebration in Chicago on Monday, July 13, 2025.
