Taking place in Kraków, Poland from June 22-24, 2026, IPC is a prestigious international microbiome conference and a key meeting for academia and industry alike.
Abstract submissions therefore represent an opportunity to gain international recognition, spark discussion and contribute to the cutting-edge research shaping the future of probiotics and microbiome science.
Those who submit successful oral submissions will share their ground-breaking research and innovative ideas in front of an international audience of peers and experts on the IPC stage. Poster submissions will be displayed in the poster hall across the three days at the Park Inn by Radisson, Kraków.
The deadline for oral presentations is Friday April 24, 2026 and the deadline for poster presentations is Friday May 1, 2026.
Why submit an abstract?
In addition to being in with a chance of sharing research with a host of international experts, those who submit abstracts could also win one of two awards.
The Best Poster Award recognizes the presenting author of the most outstanding poster submissions that meet our defined criteria. Three prizes are available, with winners announced for this award during the conference.

The Emerging Talent Award celebrates the outstanding young scientists at the early stages of their careers, recognizing those conducting innovative basic or applied research in probiotics or prebiotics through their oral paper submissions.

IPC delegates will also get the chance to gain insights into the latest research and developments across probiotics, prebiotics, microbiome modulators, pharmabiotics, live biotherapeutic products, postbiotics and phages.

How to submit an abstract
Before submitting an abstract, please download the abstract guidelines which detail scientific topics, formatting requirements and how to apply for the awards. Once reviewed, applications can be submitted here.
Abstracts will then be examined by the IPC Scientific Committee, comprising of over 20 experts in probiotics, prebiotics, microbiome and microbiology from across the globe.
Presenting authors for oral presentations will receive an acceptance/rejection notification via e-mail by 8 May 2026, while those submitting poster presentations will be notified by 15 May 2026.
