Aspirin and Vit.E to combat atherosclerosis

A combination of the antioxidant Vitamin E and a cox inhibitor such as aspirin significantly delays the development of atherosclerosis in mice even when their cholesterol levels remain high, new evidence suggests.

Lactic acid has little effect on E.coli

Decontamination with 1 per cent and 2 per cent buffered lactic acid does not appreciably affect the spread of pathogen E.coli in beef tissue, Belgian scientists report this week.
