FDA issues guidance on pure powdered caffeine

FDA has issued a guidance which says certain highly concentrated caffeine products will henceforth be considered adulterated. The guidance follows the agency’s concerns about the appearance on the market of pure powdered caffeine sold in bulk.

While most work on the microbiome focuses on the bacterial populations in the large intestine, new research suggests it is microbes in the small intestine that may be critical to the absorption and digestion of certain fats.
