Papaya liar? Italy issues €250,000 fine over ‘distorted’ health claims
Italian botanical supplements manufacturer Named S.p.a was given 30 days to cough up a €250,000 fine in September after local authorities said it had used grossly exaggerated and unsubstantiated web-based health claims around immunity, diabetes, HIV, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
