The UK FDF talked up an ideal business environment and said it was gauging member opinion.
“UK food and drink manufacturers care passionately about securing and maintaining a great operating environment for their business. That means one that fosters competition and encourages growth, innovation and exports as well as one that does not impose unnecessary regulation and red tape," a spokesperson told us.
“FDF's Executive Committee (ExCOM) met on 29 February 2016 and agreed that FDF should directly poll its members’ views on the impact of a remain/leave vote on their business. That process is under way and, once all the results are available, we will take a view - based on the results - of what FDF’s public position regarding the referendum should be.”
