The Journal of Dietary Supplements is planning a special issue devoted to the toxicology, pharmacology, and potential regulatory pathways for CBD and other cannabinoids, and is inviting submissions.

The issue, which will be published in May 2020, seeks to answer a number of questions, including: For which purposes is CBD effective? Is it safe? Is it safe for everyone? What should the future paths to market be for CBD as well as for other cannabinoids? Should CBD be allowed as a drug only, or is there a way for it to be listed as a dietary supplement and food ingredient?

Original, unpublished research manuscripts, including work performed in experimental models and clinical trials, as well as reviews and prospective papers are invited, and all papers will be peer-reviewed through a double-blind peer-review process.

Guidelines for submission to JDS can be found HERE. Submitters are requested to indicate that manuscripts should be considered for the special issue on cannabidiol in your cover letter.

The deadline for submission is February 15, 2020.
