The winners of the 2020 NutraIngredients-Asia Awards have been announced via a live online broadcast, where the region’s brightest and best products, ingredients and projects were revealed.

We were inundated with entries from across the globe for the third edition of our awards, which was sponsored by Gencor / Pharmako, Pharmactive Biotech Products and AceBiome.

NutraIngredients-Asia Editor-in-Chief Gary Scattergood said: “We received a record number of entries and I’d like to thank every company that took the time to enter.

“Our independent panel of judges, made up of industry experts from across the region, had an incredibly difficult task in drawing up the shortlist, and I’d like to pay tribute to their dedication and commitment.”

Gary added: “We know that 2020 has been an incredibly trying time for many, both on personal and professional levels due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In recent months, our industry has had to overcome significant hurdles, from supply chain disruption to the impact of lockdowns, in order to meet the surging consumer demand for supplements, nutritional products and functional foods.

“And all the evidence suggest that this demand is only going to grow, as consumers increasingly seek to take greater control over their health and wellness.

“In recognition of the importance of the industry, and to recognise the fantastic research, innovation and ingredient / product launches, we were committed to staging the awards this year, even though we couldn’t hold the physical ceremony in Singapore as usual.

“Nevertheless, we are honoured to announce our 14 deserved winners, and also all of our finalists who should also be very proud of their achievements.”
